No matter what shape it takes, together is always the best place to be.

The beauty of a family photography session is in the simple fact that it is time spent together.

Sometimes being together is clean and organized….Sometimes everyone sits nicely around the table, sometimes everyone is playing, laughing and smiling at the same time. However, real-life “together” is often messy……kids going in different directions, needing different things….it is loud, and silly and at times it is hard. But no matter what shape it takes, together is always the best place to be….

This is why during a family photography session I choose to focus on images that are real….real expressions, real emotions, real connection…..For it is within these elements that a family defines their “together”.  And regardless of what shape your together takes, is it always worth honoring and preserving.
