One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is that I spend my days finding the beauty in all that exists around me. Today was about capturing the beauty in food scraps that often end up in landfills and incinerators for Roots Compost. Roots Compost provides weekly curbside food scraps collection, which it then turns into beautiful compost that you receive back a few times a year. And the thing is, these food scraps are beautiful to me. This is what is left behind after my children have been fed, their growing bodies nourished…..And in time these scraps will become the dirt from which more vibrant food will grow. Such a beautiful cycle.
