I’ll jump to the end of the story first……Both babies are happy, healthy and home.

The start of the story, is that these sweet little twins decided to make their entrance a bit early.  Both were doing great, but they had to be separated while baby girl got a bit stronger in the NICU.

The goal was for me to capture their first moments together….sharing a bassinet, snuggled in mom and dad’s arms….But their arrival didn’t go as planned.  Herein lies the greatest truth about photography – it captures life as it is.  And the reality of this situation is that it was a hard time for mom and dad.  They were scared, and sad and a bit overwhelmed.  After carrying her two babies together for almost 9 months, Mom was pained by her son and her daughter sleeping separately on different floors of the hospital.

We captured it anyway, documenting this arrival as it was.

Now back to the end of the story.  Everyone is home together.  Strong and healthy.  Both babies snuggled into Mom and Dad’s arms at the same time.

And these photos?  A story to look back on as their beautiful babies grow……together.
