Bold & Beautiful Connections: The Images, The Background & The Edits

I’m back from an incredible teaching experience at Click Away 2020.  It was 4 incredible days spent with like-minded women supporting each other, encouraging each other and simply having fun together.  This year I had the opportunity to teach at Click Away and it truly brought the experience to another level for me.  In addition to teaching photographers how to laugh successful and satisfying photography businesses, I also lead two shooting demos focused on teaching how to capture connection!  Below are a few of my favorite captures from “Bold & Beautiful Connections”.  And be sure to scroll through so you can see some behind the scenes, watch me edit a both a color and a B&W images AND take a peek through the entire gallery!  Yep – if you want a peek at my creative mind and process, keep scrolling through!

My teaching sessions were all done at 2:30 in the afternoon, so finding a location with a good pocket of light was essential.  Most of the trees were still bare, but I found a beautiful pocket of light in a small patch of dirt to the side of a paved park road.  The spot was shaded by two trees with beautiful green leaves, and there was some nice texture in the dirt.  It was probably a 10×10 space, so it didn’t look like much, but it’s amazing how much you can do with very little.  Below are two behind the scenes:
